Beauty tools you need.

I do love abit of beauty, but I personally feel beauty itself should not just be limited to the perfect eyeshadow or ideal lipstick, but beauty tools too. In today's post I thought I would run you through some of my favourite beauty tools that I personally feel are an absolute must have...

FACIAL BRUSH CLEANSER
There was on overwhelming amount of hype created around the Clarisonic a few years ago, but a cheaper alternative that I came across was from a brand called Rio - the Sonicleanse. This face brush is firm enough to remove all the dirt on your face but still gentle enough to make it suitable for use on the skin. Although face brushes are an added step to your morning or evening routune, I feel like the effect you get by using the brush totally makes up for it. I use a gel cleanser with this brush as it foams up really well enabling you to get an even amount of product all over the face. You have the options of two different settings and also a timer. Using a face brush in general allows your face to feel alot cleaner and also super smooth. I've been using mine for around a year and a half now and my face is alot brighter than it used to be. I personally feel like it's also helped me not have as many break outs. The brush attatchments are replaceable and I change mine every 3-4 months. If you would like more information on this particular brush, check out my orignal review, here. I defintely think it's worth the investment.

EYELASH CURLER
My makeup routine wouldn't be the same without an eyelash curler - and actually, it's a step that most people would miss out. Believe it or not, mine eyelash curler is actually from Primark. This is my third eyelash curler, my first one was purchased in 2007 and I replace them every so often. I haven't used any other brands so can't really compare but I do really love the Primark one. It's around a £1 and works so well with your lashes. Lash curlers are a great way to lift up your lashes before applying mascara. I feel like if you don't use them your lashes don't look as great with mascara - a definite must have tool in my opinion.

TWEEZER
Tweezers are a perfect way to remove sparse hair from your brows or even upper lip! Nothing more to be said about tweezing itself, but the tweezer brand I specifically love has to be Tweezerman - they are award winning after all! Seriously, I haven't come across a brand of tweezer before that manages to pull out ALL of those little pesky hairs that refuse to budge. I have the travel sized version in a pretty pink shade but there are so many to choose from - different colours and sizes. It's definitely worth the price you pay.

TANGLE TEASING BRUSH
Again, the hype created around these plasitc brushes last year was incredible! Alot of bloggers featured the brand Tangle Teezer and to be honest, this is probabrly the most famous brand that sells these, but mine is from Macadamia. It pretty much does the same job. I like this style of brush beacause I can comb my hair whilst its wet - no snagging! These brushes take out tangles and knots so easily, alot better than using a comb which really hurts my head.

MAKEUP BRUSHES
I have a bit of a variety here, but the best makeup brushes I have come across are defintely the ones from Real Techniques. I threw away all my old brushes when I got the 'Sam's Picks' set because I had one of each. They apply a good amount of product to your face and are also really good with blending. I like the bristles - they are firm but soft, so really gentle on the face. These brushes also wash really well - I have had brushes in the past that fall apart after one wash but these are still in perfect condition. In the set I have you receieve a varitey of brushes suitable for face powder, blusher, eyeshadow, eyeliner and more! I have an in depth review here. I have actually also tried a few from eBay, and whilst they certainly won't replace my Real Techniques brushes they are good for when I don't have a clean makeup brush handy.

I hope you enjoyed this post! Let me know if you have any of the products I mentioned or if you have any tools you class as a must have.

  7. I recently got a facial brush, but I got the Clinique one. The difference I have noticed in my skin is incredible and it feels so much better. I also never realised how amazing real technique brushes were and how much they would benefit my make up look. www.jacandthebox.com

  8. I've never used a facial brush cleanser and I really need to invest in one, after hearing such great reviews. Tweezers are definitely a must have, you never know when you may need them. Also, I don't use eyelash curlers but I would love to start.
