Teeth whitening with Crest

Crest teeth whitening strips - eBay

I’m addicted. Addicted to whitening my teeth...

Everyone wants that ‘American smile’ but how expensive is it to achieve? Using Crest teeth whitening strips its actually pretty cheap compared to dentist prices! I thought it was only right to do a Crest teeth whitening strip review with my thoughts! I have told so many people about them and they use them too now and love the results.

I started using Crest teeth whitening strips around 3 years ago now. I was exceptionally apprehensive at first so before trying them I researched ALOT and 99.9% of the reviews were positive so I had to give it a go.

The strips themselves come in a sachet and you get two strips which are filled with the whitening solution. All you do is apply a strip to your lower teeth and the other to your top teeth. Simples. There are a few different ranges available but the majority of them give the same results. You can choose a 2 day, 7 day, 10 day course etc. The one I have above is the one I used the other day, you apply this one for 2 hours continuously and thats it. It was good and made my teeth whiter, but I personally find the 7 day course of Crest teeth whitening Advance Seal to be the most effective for me! So will stick with that one next time.

With the 7 day course the results are amazing, your teeth literally are gleaming white! All you do is apply the strips on your teeth for 30 mins everyday for 7 days. The only side effect I noticed is that your teeth get a little sensitive. The whiteness lasts for around 6-8 months and then you’ll need to whiten them again.

A toothpaste I use alongside this is Colgate Max White. Which also gives great results, I have noticed that by using this toothpaste the whiteness lasts a lot longer.

I highly recommend the Crest teeth whitening strips, the results are so good! Have you ever used a teeth whitening product?

cases, cases, cases

1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9

I have been on the hunt for a new phone case for quite a while. I currently have a clear one on it and is rather boring! Samsung phones are so much harder to buy for than iPhones, they are also a lot more expensive but I found some great bargains and thought I would share them :)

The ‘Because Cats’ case is only 13p?! Crazy! A majority of the cases listed come in different sizes for different phones so its worth a look.

Along with a case I also brought the wallet (no.9), its so pretty isn’t it? and at £3.32 posted it is such a great deal. The best thing about it other than it being so chic is that it fits most phones: iPhone and Samsung! This wallet will be so convenient as you can store your cards and money in it too, perfect for when you don’t want to take out a bag.

review: Clinique - Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector

For someone who has or does suffer with acne getting rid of any remaining marks is top priority...

I had little to no marks once my acne had gone away - I wasn’t following any particular skin care routine aside from the Clinque - Anti blemish range. It wasn’t until very recently after using a product did my acne break out again and leave me with marks. Understandably this came at a shock so I went on the hunt to look for something to fade or completely get rid of the marks.

Whilst I was getting my normal cleanser, toner moisturiser in Clinique the sales assistant recommend the Dark spot corrector. They say "Dermatologist-developed to be safe, comfortable. Yet in clinical trials our serum was comparable to a leading prescription ingredient in visibly reducing dark spots-a verified 58% improvement at 12 weeks. For all skin tones: See results starting in just 4 weeks, with a visible reduction in age spots and acne scars. Also appropriate for backs of hands and chest, too."

This serum has to be used before moisturiser and I was told to use it with an SPF lotion only. 99.9% of the time I look into product reviews before purchasing to see other peoples thoughts and experiences, but I didn’t with this one.

Cons - I have now finished it after around 4 months and can’t say I’ve seen any drastic changes - no changes for that matter. The few acne scars I have and dark spots are still there. At £40 this has actually been the most money I have ever spent on a single makeup item and I am annoyed at the fact it didn’t live up to its price tag! Other products are available on the market which are cheaper and work a lot quicker.

Pros - When you initially apply the serum and then the sun screen your face appears to be very even toned and any dark areas seemingly fade. Although I’m not too sure if that is the serum or the sun screen!

The next time I invest in a beauty product I will have to thoroughly research!

EDIT: This post was written up weeks ago but I hadn’t published it. Since finishing the product I came across another product that has worked amazingly well! All the acne marks have gone. You can read about it here.

Have you used a product like this before? Or spent a lot of money on a beauty item and were disapointed?

Qfiber Heat Wrap Pad review

I was contacted a while ago and asked if I wanted to test out the Qfiber Heat Wrap Pad. As someone who suffers from lower back pain I was very intrigued!

The Qfiber heat pad is a one size fits all wrap that is applied to most parts of the body in order to relieve pain such as the back, shoulders, elbows, knees, ankles etc. It is also used by those who have arthritis and joint pains as well as athletes. The pad relaxes muscles and improves circulation whilst relieving pain. I originally assumed it was just a heat pad but it isn’t. The pad uses infra red technology which can reach 2” inches deep into exhausted muscles helping to relax them and thus diminishing any stress they are under.

After around a month of trialling I have found it to be very effective in relieving lower back tension. You are not allowed to use it more than 3 times a week and it’s only 30 minutes each time. When I originally used it I only found temporary relief, come the next day I had lower back pain again. But what I did find is now that I have used it a good couple of times over the 4 weeks the tension has subsided greatly. I would definitely recommend this product for those suffering muscle tension. If used regularly (within the recommend guidelines) I have personally found it to relieve muscle tension on a much longer term basis.

Now that I’ve also started my fitness regime this will come in handy for the days I don’t do a warm up!

If you use the code QTU you will receive 10% off your Qfiber from the JD Harris website!

RADICAL skincare Age-Defying Exfoliating Pads

Who would’ve thought a product made to reduce the appearance of wrinkles would also remove dark patches as well as acne scarring? This gentle formula worked well with my sensitive skin.

I recently came across the Radical Skincare range and was intrigued by the story of the 2 sisters who had created the product. Liz and Rachel had been working in the cosmetics industry aged just ten as their father was a world renowned professor of Plastic Surgery. They were exposed to the science of skin rejuvenation from a young age. In order to combat wrinkles they attempted to create a product that actually worked - with no intention of selling it to the public. Little did they realise their great formula would also clear up rosacea! After many questions from people wanting to try the product in order to achieve the same results it went on to the market to sell and was a success.

I have been trailing this product for around 2 weeks now, daily. The tub features 60 exfoliating pads which are soaked in anti oxidants such as Witch Hazel, coffee seed extracts and grape seed extracts to name a few. The Radical age defying exfoliating pads promote cell turnover and have also been known to reduce the appearance of crows feet by 50% in just 2 weeks! The pads remove dead skin cells too which reduces the appearance of dull, tired looking skin.

You can never start too early with anti-aging products but I can’t really comment on wrinkles. I can however comment on the general look and feel of my skin. It has become a lot more firm and is super smooth. I have also noticed the appearance of pores around my t-zone have completely diminished. I use this product as a second cleanser in the evening without applying moisturiser over the top of it. You get enough product to last you two months.

I suffered from acne years ago and it did eventually go but left some scarring. The result I am most shocked and pleased about is definitely the way my acne scarring has significantly reduced! I’d confidently say in another few days of using it they will be completely gone. Furthermore my skin overall is a lot more even toned and appears brighter. The formulation of the product is evening out my skin tone so well. Even though my skin is sensitive I have had no reactions using this product what so ever - winner!

I am so pleased I came across this product even though it is mainly advertised as age-defying. For those of you who do suffer with acne scarring or even dark patches and un even skin tone I highly recommend trying it out. The price is maybe the only downside, but for the results you can achieve I personally feel it is worth it - celebs use it too! I will be repurchasing the Radical Skincare age defying exfoliating pads again, it is too good of a product to miss out on.
