£1 Exfoliating face brush

I purchased this £1 face brush a couple of months ago and it has worked wonders for my skin! A while ago I wrote about my acne experience. With the help of my Clinique products and this £1 exfoliating face brush I feel I have now come up with a great combination that my skin appreciates.

The brush helps exfoliate the skin gently whilst removing any dead skin cells as well as oils and any other nasty impurities. The bristles on this exfoliating face brush are soft so it is safe to use on your face as it is not harsh. It also lightly massages your face helping to even out any fine lines or wrinkles. I use this brush once every few days teamed up with my foamy cleanser from Clinique. This small handy size is also great for travel as it is really lightweight.

It provides more of a thorough deep clean than you would normally get by using a cleanser on its own and makes your skin feel super smooth!

You can buy the exfoliating face brush from ebay.

The Procrastinating Beauty Blogger TAG

So I found this tag on this blog and I thought I would do it even though I haven’t been tagged. Is that bad?! haha oh well!

The Rules:1. Copy and paste these ‘rules’ into your post when you write it!2. You must state that this tag was created by Laura from The Beau Bow.3. You must thank the person who tagged you at the start of your post, follow them if you’re feeling nice and at the end of your post state who you tag, and comment on their blog to let them know you tagged them.4. Title this post ‘The Procrastinating Beauty Blogger TAG’ .5. Have fun!

The Questions:

        1. Name a beauty regime that you rarely do?

I hardly ever take off my mascara which i’m ashamed to admit.

2.). Is washing your makeup brushes something you do regularly?
I have a ton of makeup brushes, the only ones i actually use are eyeshadow and blusher brushes of which I have quite a few of so I alternate them once one gets dirty. I really only wash my brushes once every 2 months.
    3. How long will you last with chipped nail polish?
I would remove the nail polish straight away! I can get OCD about things like that lol

    4. How long do you put off buying/replacing a beauty item or nail polish even if you need it?

    5. What’s you worst beauty habit?
Not taking off eye makeup? Gross!

    6. Name something non beauty related that you put off doing all the time?
I would have to go with dusting like the other blogger said! Although I am a freak at organising!

                           7. When going out somewhere, do you leave getting ready to the last minute or not.
Yep, I leave it really late, but surprisingly I am still the one who is first to be ready! What even?

    8. Can you commit to spending bans?
    It depends.

    9. How organised is your makeup and nail polish collection?
Very organised! I re-organise them every fortnight. Is that sad?! Yes it most likely is.

    10. What is the longest amount of time you have gone without writing a blog post?
I have only been blogging for the past 3 months but because I find writing so soothing I still enjoy it. I think the longest i have gone is 10 days?

I hope you enjoyed this post? It is a bit different to the type of posts i regularly do. Let me know if you liked it. I also TAG anyone who reads this! Please leave your blogpost link in the comments I would love to read it!

SOAP AND GLORY The Righteous Butter review

Low and behold the richest moisturiser you will potentially ever come across in your lifetime. This massive tub of goodness is aptly named The Righteous Butter…

This is my 2nd tub, i first came across the Soap and Glory products around Christmas time; Soap and Glory have the infamous bag filled with over 10 full sized items for a fraction of the price when brought individually. In this award winning huuugge 300ml tub you get a very thick and creamy moisturiser, packed with shea butter and aloe vera. The first distinctive thing you will notice about it as soon as you pop the lid off is the very strong scent, I’d describe it exactly like the Cherry Bakewell cakes. This lovely scent lingers on your skin for hours. So before you buy it I’d urge you to have a cheeky wee sniff in store, it might be too strong for some people.

This moisturiser is great just out the shower on slightly damp skin, apply liberally as too much will be heavy on the skin. It soaks in straight away so your skin feels nice and silky and it lasts all day long. This moisturiser is perfect for winter or even for you fake tan lovers out there! The quality and formula is amazing, well worth the £10.50 price tag for 300ml. Boots normally have 3 for 2 offers available.

Have you tried any of the Soap and Glory products? Let me know in the comments!

Andrew Barton Colour Protect Treatment Mask- REVIEW

Today I thought i would write a review of a product I came across a few months ago: the Andrew Barton Treatment Mask, this product is designed specifically for colour treated hair but I’m sure it would work just as good on normal hair. I have never used Andrew Barton products before so when I saw this in my local supermarket (sold exclusively at ASDA) on half price I had to buy it!

This salon formula treatment mask features argon oil of which you can smell as soon as you take the lid off. Just a refreshing smell! The argon oil helps thoroughly moisturise your hair and helps keep the colour radiant. After the all the recent hype around Argon oil I’m sure everyone is aware of how amazing it is?!! I have in the past bleached my hair so many times that my hair is now damaged and the growth has stunted too. I have used so many hair products and nothing has a lasting effect, they only make my hair smooth on the day of washing it. This product however keeps your hair full of moisture for a whole week even if you wash your hair everyday, the goodness stays in for around 6-7 days. I absolutely love it. No more brittle bleached hair for me, it is now very smooth and sleek! I can’t wait to re-dye my hair for the summer then use this product again!

The consistency of the product is just like any other hair conditioner, very thick and creamy. After washing your hair with shampoo apply a small amount to the ends of your hair. Leave it on for a few minutes and then wash it off. I’ve also noticed with conditioner any tangles in your hair vanish too!
For £4 you get 300ml of product, a decent sized tub that will last your for months if not a year as you only need to use the smallest amount once a week.

I really rate this product, thank you so much for reading my post. Do you have any hair conditioner recommendations?

RODIAL BRAZILIAN TAN review

Hello,

I think it’s been a week since I last blogged. I have had such a stressful week, but life goes on.

As I was browsing through magazines the other day I came across the Elle mag. I am a sucker for the freebies magazines sometimes have, I would buy a magazine just for the product! Does anyone else do this? In this months Elle magazine, they have included a small sized Rodial Brazilian self tanner. I have never used fake tan before so i grabbed the magazine!

The blue 58ml plastic bottle comes with a tube style packing. It is quite a generous size for a sample. This particular Rodial tanner is advertised as being clear. So when you apply it, you won’t get really nasty orange hands, nor will it transfer on your clothes.

2 days ago was the first time I had ever used fake tan, i was intrigued! The consistency is like a lotion, it comes out as an almost pearly white colour and soaks into your skin clear.

I applied it on my arms just to test it out. The application is easy and fuss free, it is very similar to applying a body moisturiser. I applied it without a mitt because I didn’t think it would actually work to be honest because i am already slightly tanned. The palms of my hands were slightly orange but nothing too noticeable. I left it on overnight and when I woke up in the morning I had a tanned part of my hand! It actually worked! The next day I was shocked! It came out so good, like a natural tan. I think it may depend on your natural skin colour how the end result comes out but I am very happy with it. I’m also tempted to use it on my face.

As you can see from the picture above I left a part free just to see if there would actually be a difference, and yes it is noticeable, so I will be re-tanning that area today. This was my first go applying tan so there was some parts I missed haha. But all in all, I am so pleased with this product! What I want to do now is go on my Summer holiday! Once it runs out I will more than likely be purchasing a full sized version.

Have you ever came across a sample product and loved it? Let me know in the comments!

Until next time, thank you for reading!

Please follow me on Bloglovin too!

GLAMOUR MAGAZINE £1 (july issue)- WITH FREE ‘MODELco’ MAKEUP ITEM WORTH £16

Hi everyone!

Hope you are all well. Just thought I would write a short post about a bargain beauty buy i picked up yesterday. As we all mot probably know, Glamour magazine occasionally has free items alongside there mag. In the past they have had Nails inc nail polishes and recently they had mini Benefit samples. Well right now they have some makeup bits from a brand called Model co and the magazine is ONLY £1!!! I have never heard of them before but I have just had a wee browse on their website and Rosie Huntington Whitely is the brand ambassador! Sayyy whhhhatttt?

You can chose between a mascara, a one colour suits all lip pencil, black eye liner, peach lipgloss or a pink lipgloss! I chose the deep pink shaded lip gloss.

The colour comes out exactly how it is in the tube, its a lovely texture, not sticky at all but very long wearing. The colour is almost your lips but better, very glossy. The lipgloss also has a very nifty mirror so its great for traveling with!

Will you be picking up this bargain buy? Let me know! I really recommend you do, they are selling out fast!

BODY SHOP HEMP HAND CREAM

Hello,

Hope whoever reads this is well! My 21 followers: Woo! I’m doing pretty well at this whole blogging thing in terms of sticking at it, the last 2 blogs I started didn’t get past two posts as real life got in the way. I brought a new camera the other day, it should be arriving this week sometime, I'm so excited. It is the infamous Youtube vloggy camera - the Canon IXUS 240 HS. Hopefully I will be able to produce better quality pictures. I am also working with new editing software, so hopefully all the pictures uploaded from now on will have a more uniform feel.

Anyways onto todays post, my favourite hand cream!

Partial photo credit Body Shop

I first brought this hand cream around 4 years ago, back in 2009 i think it was. Culprit? - Work hand wash, you all know the deal; it destroys your hands! I was on the hunt for a decent hand cream as the ones i was previously using weren’t providing results.

The HEMP hand cream by the Body Shop (£10: 100ml) is their best selling hand cream - and I can see why! It is very moisturising and leaves your hands supple and smooth. It contains hemp seed oil and beeswax and has a distinctive smell, I wouldn’t class it as an offensive smell but it is very earthy and slightly menthol like, I like it. The consistency is somewhat like a thick paste, it does take a few minutes to absorb into the skin; so it is best applied at night. So over 3 years down the line I am still using the same product, a miracle product! It has provided me with the results I wanted.

The 100ml tube lasts me quite a few months, maybe around 7?! The full price for 100ml is £10. The 30ml one, which is great for handbags etc is only £5. You are better off buying the bigger size though as the Body Shop always has half price offers!

You can purchase it here: The Body Shop

If you have dry skin i really recommend this product, it works wonders!

Do you have a miracle product you can’t live without? Let me know in the comments!

MAY BEAUTY FAVOURITES

A very late May favourites, I have been contemplating for a while wether I should do a May favourites or not as I tend to use the same products every month. Just because I know they work for me, safe options… as I said a few posts back, I am very much just an eyeliner & mascara kind of person. But I am hoping to change this! My make drawer is overflowing so I may ‘shop my stash’ I really should use all the products up!

♥ The Orginal Beauty Glow
I only recently purchased this bronzer but I have been absolutely loving it! I have a full review HERE. It gives you such a lovely bronzed look, great for contouring also. It is more mineral based, so it feels invisible on the skin and doesn’t cake. Thumbs up from me!

♥ MUA: Blush (Shade 2)
I brought this blusher last year sometime. MUA is a brand sold in Superdrug and the majority of products are £1! They are superb quality, very pigmented and long lasting. I absolutely love this blush. I used it a lot last month. It is a very cool toned pink with slight shimmers. You only need the smallest amount!
If you are in Superdrug next and haven’t come across MUA (which i doubt) I highly recommend checking the stand out.

♥ Benefit: BADgal Lash Mascara
I received a sample of this mascara from a magazine a few months ago (£17.50rrp), only got round to using it last month: next time I’m at the Benefit counter I will be buying a full size version! I love it! It is great at lengthening and also thickens the lashes slightly at the roots. A lot of mascaras I have come across climb your lashes after 1 application but this doesn't. You can build layers and it will carry on legthening and thickening without the clumsiness.

♥ Soap & Glory Mother Pucker lipgloss
This lipgloss retails at £9, it is well worth the money. I brought this gloss in the shade Punch Bowl, which I think is the most popular colour. Punchbowl is a deep shade of pink, your lips but better kind of colour. It is a plumping lipgloss, so once you apply it it stings. It smells really nice, similar to biscuits?! But it is really sticky, but this more or less means it will last longer: which it does.

THE ORGINAL BEAUTY GLOW

Hola!

Just over a week ago i went to the Ideal Home Show Scotland, I blogged about it here. On one of the many hundreds of stalls there was a few representatives of a brand called ‘The Original Beauty Glow’. Lots of people were huddled around. I was intrigued.

I present you, The Original Beauty Glow.

The Original Beauty Glow is a waterproof bronzing powder made in a small town in Scotland. It retails between £18-£20 (18g).  The powder itself is a medium brown tone with slight shimmers in it. This powder has so many impressive features about it. For a start all of the products used to make the product haven’t been tested on animals for the past 10 years. It is suitable for any skin colour as it blends flawlessly into your natural skin tone. It is waterproof and streak free too! The powder also has vitamin E and Primrose oil in it which helps moisturise.

I have been using this for a over a week now and I absolutely love it! You only need the smallest amount as it is very pigmented. It is a great product for travel especially as it reduces the need to carry say a lipstick or an extra eyeshadow. The longevity of the product is also very good, if you were to put this powder on in the morning it would stay on all day. The lady at the stall said it last between 18-24 months: I don’t know about that yet but we shall see, i think it will?!!

The Original Beauty Glow is primarily a bronzing powder but it does also have 6 other uses, it can be used as a blusher, a contour powder, an eyeshadow, on top of vaseline as a lip colour, on top of clear nail varnish as a nail polish and finally as a a semi permanent tan.

I highly recommend the Original Beauty Glow. Perfect for this season!

Thank you for reading my post. Do you have a favourite bronzer? Do let me know in the comments section below.
