I have recently been getting a lot of stationary bits for my desk so I thought I would show you them.
I have a few pastel document wallets which help keep me organised with different things along with my planner which I recently wrote a post on here. I actually have a few different planners, again for different things. I have been making use of my blogging one recently and hope this stays! I find writing notes and jotting things down on specific dates helps you as starts becoming a target you need to reach.
In a similar vain to my planners and diaries I also have this To-Do list notepad. I purchased this a while back but only recently started using it. I like the layout as it includes things like errands and tasks as well as a place for notes. The check mark boxes on the side really keep you motivated. Each time I tick a box I feel a slight sense of achievement. Sad haha. I purchased the floral weekly planner the other day from B & M Bargains (my favourite shop!). I am excited to start filling it up, might use it for blog designing. How many planners does one need?

I love using these mini Crayola markers when organising my wall planner. They were only around £3 as well, super bargain! Using different colours whilst writing makes it more interesting and fun! It also helps me remember things better.
I also always try and have at least one candle on my desk, just now I have the Yankee Candle, Sugared Apple burning. I love this scent and couldn’t help but repurchase this year. It’s perfect for this season and smells like caramelised apples. Candles always make rooms more cosy, especially around Autumn/Winter time.
I love using these jewellery holders for holding little bits of stationary. This rabbit one is from The Range and was around £2. As an alternative to paper clips I find these metal clips work a lot better, not only do they hold more paper but it also feels a lot more secure. I purchased these mint ones from Tesco but these alternatives are just as cute!
Along with my laptop and camera I also have a few other tech essentials. I use a Platinum SD card (class 10)* for my camera. This particular card is great for when taking blog photos because it transfers onto the laptop a lot quicker compared to any others I’ve previously owned. The class 10 version also allows me to take simultaneous shots on my camera without it lagging. The card is really inexpensive at £14.99. I also regularly back up items onto my Platinum USB stick*. These USB sticks are great for transferring documents, photos etc. They are great also if you are a student too and can be popped into your bag for convenience.
I’m typing this whilst listening to Glee Christmas; version 1, 2 and 3. Too soon? Too soon.
What are your desk essentials?

I couldn’t help myself, payday for me usually involves a making a purchase in the Yankee Candle store. I normally opt for the larger jars as they last the longest but because they released their Halloween and Christmas collections I thought I would go WILD and buy the limited edition scents. I opted for the Wax Tarts as they are the cheapest at around 99p, this allowed me to buy a good few without my card hating me. This is a good way of trying out different scents without committing to the full sized jar as they can be quite pricey.

I purchased two of the most popular halloween scents out of the four. The first Halloween scent I purchased was the most recommended and that is Ghostly Treats (£1.15). This smells like freshly toasted marshmallows. I will be burning this first I think. The other one is Candy Corn, in America there is a sweet called ‘Candy Corn’ and so the Candy Corn (£1.15) candle supposedly smells like that. To me it smells like a mixture of honey and caramelised sugar, quite pungent but very autumnal. I also like the fact it is orange.

I had quite a big list for the Christmas scents but many of them were sold out unfortunately. Luckily I was still able to get the others I had wanted. Snowflake Cookie (£1.20) smells just like sugary icing, I adore the muted pink colour of it. Red Apple Wreath (£0.99) smells like crisp red apples and cinnamon, very Christmassy. Candy Cane Lane (£0.99) smells like a mixture of peppermint and vanilla and finally I also picked up Christmas Eve (£0.99) which smells warm and very fruity, I am excited to burn this on the 24th! The other Christmas ones I still need to buy are Angel Wings (£0.99) and Christmas Garland (£0.99).
Two other wax tarts I picked up were Fireside Treats (£0.99) which again smells like toasted marshmallows and Wedding Day (£0.99) which smells like freshly cut roses with a hint of fruit. These two are available all year round.
I can’t wait to start using them, I will be burning Ghostly Treats first. The wax tarts last around 8 hours but as with the majority of yankee candles you only need to take the wrapper/lid off and the scent is dispersed throughout the whole room. I will be using a quarter of each tart at a time, this allows me to change the scent up often without wasting it. Also the good thing about a tart burner is you can mix together many different wax tarts and make a whole new scent.
I hope you enjoyed this post, let me know if you have purchased any Yankee Candles or if you are going to?
