Recent Models Own picks.

I'm quite picky when it comes to choosing nail polish colours, mostly because of the environment in which I work - let's be honest, If it was up to me I would have some fun with bright shades and possibly even year 2000 style nail art pens. (jk) Anyway, because I have to stick to neutral shades, I usually just rock a french manicure and this has resulted in me lacking on the nail polish front. Until I saw a Models Own stand that is...
In the Black Friday sale, I noticed a Models Own stand in a shopping centre not far from me. The girl said it was a permanent thing, but because of the sale all the nail polishes were half price?!! Prior to this revelation, I had never tried a Models Own nail polish. Shocking, right? And to think I call myself a beauty blogger, I joke. I obviously couldn't contain myself and knew I had to make a purchase.

After a little mooch around, I settled on these three shades! I am pretty happy with them. A girl who follows me on Instagram said these colours are so 'aleelily' and I have to say I agree! The shades I went for are Pink IcingChrome Rose and finally Pink Fizz (aka, pink and rose gold). The latter two are variations of rose gold, the first being a glitter and the second chrome effect. Colour wise they are lovely, but I feel like the Pink Icing shade would look better on really pale skin. With my tan skin you get that sweety effect (does that make sense?). The other two are perfect. In terms of application, they all need around two coats, if not three. This is quite a lot compared to other brands I have tried, but I really like the brush it comes with, it's slightly wider and covers more of the nail. The nail polishes dry very quickly, it totally makes up for 3 coats in my opinion. They last a good few days too which is always ideal.

Anyways, I really want to try a few more shades from the brand! I noticed they had gift sets when I first went, but because of the Christmas rush, when I went back they were all sold out. I was too late, but otherwise, it would have been a great way to try a few more shade.

Have you tried Models Own nail polishes before? Do you have any shades you would recommend?
