If you have been a long follower of my blog you will be aware of the various planners and diaries I have purchased over the years in a bid to get more organised, all of which have failed to work (read as: I have lost interest in them) It's safe to say that I have finally come to the realisation that you need more than a diary to stay organised. It's all about your mindset and for someone like me who feels stressed pretty much all the time getting used to having a planner is something that I really needed to do, especially as I am juggling so many things at the moment.
I had been wanting to purchase a 'high end' planner for quite some time and because I can only justify purchases like this If I get enough use out of it, this has motivated me more to make the consciousness effort to actually make use of it. Now a few weeks in I can honestly say I have used this planner every single day and it has definitely helped me organise my time so much better.
Anyways, onto the actual beauty itself. I went for the Original Filofax in the Patent Nude colour. I was unsure whether to get this one, the mint green or the lilac shade initially. However, I am so glad I went for this one in the end. I absolutely adore it and feel like it is a lot more chic. Filofax planners are made in the United Kingdom and this particular one is made from real leather. The planner feels really good quality. Size wise, I went for the Personal size and again I wasn't sure whether to go for this or the A5 version. I asked people on Twitter and almost everyone said the A5 would be difficult to carry around due to the size and because I wanted a planner that was portable, the Personal size would be best.
Oh wow, this is the ultimate grown up accessory and I NEED one. I'd definitely get the nude too, perfect!

Couldn't agree more! I feel like the colour is still girly but grown up too :)
DeleteOohhh that's so pretty, the colour is stunning.

Ah thanks Hayley! x
DeleteI love my Filofax! I have the large one (I think it's nearly like A4 or something silly) which is harder to carry round, you're right. I sometimes wish I got a smaller one, but I think it works for me since it lives on my work desk! I adore the nude though, so chic.

I am really tempted to get a desk one now so will have to looking into the A5 or A4! :)
DeleteI would adore a Filofax and this one is particularly beautiful! At the moment I have my eye on the Kate Spade 15/16 planner but if that falls through I think I'll have to finally invest in a Filofax. YAY FOR ORGANISATION!
ReplyDeleteP.S. I love the photography in this post xx

Awh thank you Charlotte that means a lot as I am so picky with my blog photos but honestly just lost patience and uploaded these anyway.
DeleteI was so tempted to get the Kate Spade one too, along with Kikki K but went for this in the end. Let me know what one you go for :)
Ahh this is gorgeous! I love the colour.

Thank you! For sure, I have gotten a lot more organised since having this beauty! :)
DeleteI have a Filofax and love it - but this is gorgeous! Would never get rid of mine as it's quite rare, but I never knew they'd made this one in this colour. I have the satchel made out of the same leather (the same company who makes most of my satchels make these Filofaxes) so want a matching set! x

Ah what a fab idea, that is totally something I would do haha :) What Filofax do you currently have? I am so excited to use this one in the years to come (I hope)
DeleteI bought my filofax last month and I am absolutely addicted. I agree, I really needed something that wasn't just a diary. Mine includes a section for my blogging, lists and wedding planning. I take it everywhere!
ReplyDeleteHere's my set up which might give you a few ideas for new inserts: http://www.hellodeborah.co.uk/filofax-personal-planner-english-bloom/
I really love the nude one. I wanted to go for a cheaper one incase it was just a phase, but I love it so might treat myself to a new one and swap out all the inserts.

Ah thank you will have a look at the post now, I love seeing other peoples planners. Oh I couldn't justify the money for this for years but I thought whatever I am going to buy it. If anything the price tag has motivated me to make use of it haha!
DeleteIts so cute =]

Thank you!
DeleteThis is so pretty! I've been considering getting a filofax next year at the moment I have a diary :)
ReplyDeletehellomissjordan.com xx
I think you should definitely get one! :) I don't regret mine one bit x
DeleteThis is the most gorgeous planner! I always have a planner in my bag/bedroom but as yet have failed to actually use them, even though I know if would really help me to wrap my mind around everything I have to do! I might also treat myself to a nice new one to motivate myself to actually use it :) X
ReplyDeleteA Blonde Moment
I was in the exact situation and I won't lie, spending a little more on this Filofax is one of the reasons why I have been using it everyday. I need to totally justify the purchase haha! But it has definitely made me a lot more organised :)
DeleteSuch a gorgeous colour!!
