Review: Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish (hot cloth cleanser)

Another product I was late on the bandwagon with. I first came across the Liz Earle cleanser a few years ago now; it was raved about by so many bloggers and you tubers. I however didn’t feed into the hype because my skin is so temperamental.

Suffice to say I regret that now, I should have tried it sooner. I still very much love my go-to cleanser of around 5 years - the Clinique Anti blemish cleanser but this Liz Earle cleanser is definitely running on the same league (if not slightly ahead!) This cleanser is branded as being suitable for all skin types. And I personally think it does, I haven’t experienced any break outs or irritation with the product.

I purchased the starter kit which retails at £14.75. The 100ml pump bottle comes with 2 muslin cloths and is stored in a gorgeous light blue waterproof zip bag. The presentation and packaging is a full 10 without a doubt. It looks and feels luxurious and is still within a decent price bracket. It also smells very similar to lime Starbursts! Zingy!

The Liz Earle cleanse & polish is a cream cleanser and is applied to the face exactly like a cream. One pump is enough for the whole face. You then wash the muslin cloth with warm water and essentially polish your face with it. I have noticed such a difference in my skin. It looks a lot brighter and coupled with the Radical skincare pads I am currently also using my skin is a lot more even toned and much smoother. This product is perfect for removing eye makeup too, it is so gentle and removes all traces of mascara.

I am glad I brought this product it’s great! Have you ever used Liz Earle Cleanse and polish?

  3. I've never gotten around to trying this one but I definitely want to some day as it sounds fab. Have you tried it on any active breakouts? I find some cleansers are nice on my skin normally but as soon as I have a breakout they really irritate my skin so I'm usually quite careful of that. Lovely review :)

    1. Hi Debra, I highly recommend it, my skin is quite sensitive but it was fine - no allergic reaction. I have indeed and it was fine, it actually stopped the spot from being sore. I think the Chamomile has a soothing effect?! x
